If only Hosea Williams was around to see what has happened to his beloved Dekalb County Georgia. Somewhere in my video archive is an interview with this civil rights leader who told of the expected disposition of a Black man walking through Dekalb County GA in the 1950s. A Black man walking down Memorial Drive in Dekalb as the sunset had better have a work uniform on and had better be able to prove that he is COMING TO work or DEPARTING FROM work - for there was no other reason at that time for a "Ninja" to be walking the streets of Dekalb - lest the defacto assumption that "He Is Up To No Good" kick in in the minds of the police who were interrogating him.
If only Rev Williams could see what "Progress" has brought the Negro in Dekalb County Georgia.
A Black person in Stone Mountain, contrary to the speech by Martin Luther King Jr that will no doubt get a lot of airplay as his Washington monument is christened next month - today is not facing the same "Klan Threat" that King had reference in the 1960's. In Stone Mountain 2011 it is the "Street Pirate Social Justice Violator" which poses the greatest threat to the safety of a Black person seeking to live free in this city with the Confederate soldiers etched on the side of the mountain of its namesake.
Shamefully - the Black Racial Services Machine do not consider a "Black man shot in the back" by another BLACK MAN as an EQUAL OFFENSE - worthy of the protests that would be the case if a White Man had control over the trigger and thus shot the Black man equally dead.
It is my solemn opinion that those who erected the "Civil Rights / Social Justice" framework for our community to follow failed to factor in actual BLACK EQUALITY into their reference material. At the point in which the demons that had been more exclusively possessing our White brothers and sisters began to Integrate - possessing Black people to commit the same onerous acts upon our people - the rituals of the Civil Rights Pharisees have thus far failed to adequately adapt to this new reality.
The only logical change is for a new group of thinkers to promote ABSOLUTE BLACK EQUALITY and thus look at the ASSAULT and not the ASSAILANT.
Until the thought influencers curtail their own racial bigotry - today done mostly for ideological and political advantage - more Black men will be SHOT IN THE BACK - and his murder won't be deemed worthy of protest BECAUSE the agent of IMPORTANCE (the White Man or Police) was not involved to lift him up to such a status.
In as much as the "Street Pirate Social Justice Violator" had his conditioning on the value of life from this same community - their desire to avoid SELF-INDICTMENT further motivates them to "Stop Snitching" on the misaligned thoughts that their community is governed by.
A 51-year-old man has died after being shot in the back during an argument Monday night, DeKalb police said.
Police are looking for the 30-year-old suspect, who is expected to be charged with murder.
The incident took place in the 1800 block of Memorial Drive in Atlanta.
After the shooting, the victim was transported to a local hospital and rushed into surgery, but he did not survive.
No names have been released by authorities and the investigation is continuing.
