Egg Roll Is Largest Public Celebration at the White House
The White House Easter Egg Roll has been enjoyed by American children for over 130 years, since President Rutherford B. Hayes and First Lady Lucy Hayes first hosted the event in 1878. Now an annual tradition, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will host this year's Easter Egg Roll on Monday, April 13. The celebration will include storytelling, sports, cooking classes, musical performances, and of course, the traditional Easter egg roll!
