The word was God, the word is God, the word was with God from the begining - it is God!
"I swear by Myself, declares the Lord..." Genesis 22:16-17.
God swore by Himself to Abraham, He swore to bless him, to make his descendants great...
Abraham was a man of FAITH. A man who never questioned God. A man who obeyed God at whatever cost. He made God to bless him, to swear by himself.
Abraham believed! He never doubted God.
He did not have the bible - yet he believed in the word of God, the voice of God!
He did not have a map - yet he left his home to a place God was going to show him. A place he did not know.
He had no one who could testify to him about the power of God - yet he believed He will bless him.
He had no child - yet he believed that God would make him into a great nation.
Abraham showed God his faith when he acted upon the words of God. And God was pleased with his actions.
"By FAITH, Abraham when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had received the promise was about to sacrifice his one and only son..." Hebrews 11:17
This is why God said "I swear by myself..."
He believed!
I BELIEVE! SO WHAT?
