Factory farms (AKA industrial farms) are huge farms owned by corporations that are ruining our food supply, putting farmers out of business, damaging the environment, treating animals with extreme cruelty, and putting our health at risk.
It's all about speed, greed and volume: and man and beast are paying a stiff price for this corporate greed. There is very little that's natural about this kind of food production and you might be surprised at what's actually in that steak you're eating. (Or produce, for that matter.)
Take a look at the brief videos here and you'll get the idea:

2/ http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=factory+farms&aq=f
Or Google "factory farms" and read more.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
It will only take you 30-60 seconds to have your voice heard...
Tell President Obama and the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) that you oppose factory farms:

This is the Secretary of Agriculture:
http://www.whorunsgov.com/Profiles/Tom_Vilsack
Email him at this address: AgSec@usda.gov
Send a message about the use of antibiotics on factory farms here:
https://secure2.convio.net/fsi/site/Advocacy?pagename=homepage&page=UserAction&id=341&autologin=true&JServSessionIdr004=zepd1nlxe3.app209b
Find good, organic food here:
http://www.eatwellguide.org/i.php?pd=Home
These are grim times for the food we eat. You're no longer getting the dinners your Mom put on the table. Buy local, eat organic, protest factory farms and pay attention to all labels.
There's more at stake than you may realize.
Take care,
Adrian Zupp
