The field

Then he said to his desciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." Matthew 9:37

Have you ever considered the amount of work needed to be done?
You probably think I am talking about work at the office, your work as a doctor, receptionist, lawyer, teacher, etc. No. Is it wrong when you work for yourself absolutely not!
However we have many nurses, lawyers, doctors and all types of careers that people are involved with. But the work of God lacks servants, people who are willing to serve God no matter what. It is sad to see that young people today are not willing to do the work of God (and yes it's not wrong). But many do not see the importants of serving God.

There are many parts of the world where people still do not know about the power of God they dont know about this great God, they don't know they have a solution to their problems. Lets look at some of the places:

South Africa: Has a population of more than 47 million people of different origin, culture and beliefs. Many still believe in their ancestors, they have not seen thepower of God in their lives and many don't even want to go to church, but they believe in self medication (imithi).

Angola: Has 31.1 million population. Prolonged internal strife for more than 20 years has left thousands dead and many thousands orphaned, widowed, disabled from direct and indirect effects of war. (researched information)

Etheopia: 93 million population by 2015; and many more places that cannot all be mentioned here.

If we were to count the millions of people around the world in all the countries; the work of God does not even have half of people who are willing to be servants of God and work on the field.

The work we do every day at the office, as receptionist or doctors, etc irrespective of what you are doing; it is very important to you the worker and to the people you help. But the most important work is the one of saving souls.
A soul cannot be bought, it is precious and priceless and the Lord Jesus is the one who bought us at a price. When he gave his life on the cross for us.

To be continued...
