What is to be a servant? Many people have asked God to use them and when the opportunity comes to be used, they allow their own will to stand in the way. They choose to do what they want to do at a time they want.
A servant is someone who only takes orders from the authority without question. He or she does what she was told and even more. The servant does not rebel when is commanded to act.
In the Kingdom of God, to be a servant is to be used by God to serve souls. A servant of God says 'yes' to His orders, without question or asking why?
Abraham is a good example of an obedient and faithful servant. God would call; Abraham and he would answer 'here I am Lord', and whatever God commanded or asked of him - he did. Abraham left his home for a place he did not know. How many people today would leave their homes to go to a place that God, the Holy Spirit is commanding them to go? Very few, and this is why the work of God lacks servants - true servants of God. Servants who are willing to obey and follow the word of God.
To love God is to save souls!
To love yourself and your neighbour is to save souls!
I've allowed God to take me from my comfort zone and do immeresurably more than all we ask or imargine...
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, Ephisians 3:20
