Losing my sight

In the past week I learned of a servant of God who was affected in her sight, she was slowly becoming blind. When I heard that I went straight to God in prayer. I prayed for her as if praying for myself. She is a young lady around 20 years old. She had been to the doctor and was told that she was becoming blind and they gave her medication. The black part of her eyes were slowly turning to face each other and in the meantime she was losing her sight.

Though I prayed for her (she was not close to me when I did) I also said - in this time of the campaign she must not fail to make her sacrifice!

She is a worker of God dedicated in serving Him. And my prayer was for God to heal her, for she bears His name and I trusted that God would do His will in her life.

Yesterday I saw her in the church and I was happy to see her ( I had not seen her for about 2 weeks) Immediately I went to speak to her. This is what she said to me, "Now I am ok, I went back to the doctor and found out that the doctor had given me wrong medication which was making my eyes worse and making me to become completely blind." She also told me that only one eye had been affected but because of the wrong medication the problem spread to the other eye making her to slowly lose her sight, not to mention that her eyes were different - they were changing the position they were in.But now she was telling me she was getting better and she can see much better than before.

I praised God for her healing because she has been receiving proper medication now and through the prayers she is well. She told me she had cried at the thought of becoming blind at such a young age but now she can see clearly - though she needs to take proper care of herself.

She had faith to be healed and God revealed to her what was causing her problem (wrong medication prescribed by a doctor) which was taking away her eyesight. But God's eyesight is never short or far to see what we do not see.

One can only imargine how she would be if this was not revealed to her, if she did not have God by her side.

Her experience / story reminded me of my young brother who a year ago went to the doctor and was told that he is completely blind. He has never been blind, but the results showed that he was blind. The doctors even asked him if he was born blind or ever had sight problems - but he has never been blind or had any problem. From the time he was born he was never blind and grew up in the Sunday school of the church UCKG.

There are things that God has prevented from happening that we know nothing about. And there are things that the devil brings and God reveals Himself to show that He is a great God who will never change!
