The Progressive Sales Job On Black America - Ignore That We Are Now Living In The Solution That We Were Sold In The Past And Set Up New Promises For The Next Interval - If We Stay Together Ideologically

Cord Jefferson with News One/ The Root.com is the designated lemon squeezer for the "Obama Fist Bump Black Press".  Just prior to the 2010 mid-term elections he posited a 6 part series on the accomplishments of the Obama Administration that was a more comprehensive piece of work than anything that I saw coming from the people who actually get paid to market the actions of the Obama Administration per their job description.

It seems that Mr Jefferson is back at it again.
Not willing to note that the present array of "Favorable Progressive Officials" that dominate all of the institutions in Black America and how their ascent into power was going to provide economic and academic uplift for Black America as we have "our interests" now represented at the table - Mr Jefferson saw fit to put on his marketing hat once again.  He must be aware of the great consternation felt among Black people over the 16.2% Black unemployment rate which has risen for the last 3 months.  He wishes to give us HOPE - by reminding us that we have a fighter for us in various municipal seats and that they are going to pull some strings to get employment for those who are in the unemployment line.

Mr Jefferson's article is not a serious "public policy" analysis with the actual hope of reducing the Black unemployment situation.  Instead it is more like an Ebony magazine "personality profile" in which the presence of a powerful and favorable Black person in a certain position is enumerated - triggering us to "be proud", despite our unemployment.

CBC Head Emanuel Cleaver's (D-MO) reasons why Black unemployment rates remain high:
  1. The Federal Debt Ceiling Debate Is Unnerving Employers - The GOP Needs To Get A Move On
  2. Discrimination In The Favor Of Elite Schools Over HBCUs
  3. RACISM - Though Still In An Unquantifiable Force - Racial Discrimination Against Black People Denies Blacks Of Our Ability To Expand Our Ranks In Corporate America
  4. Lack Of Skills And Education
One must note have infrequently we discuss and attempt to quantify the amount of ORGANIC UPLIFT the Black Community has received after investing so much of our heart and soul into the present establishment power that we were told was going to benefit us so greatly.
