American Indian College Fund - 8333 Greenwood Blvd., Denver, CO 80221 (303) 426-8900. www.collegefund.org - Thirty-two American Indian founded tribal colleges, fighting high rates of poverty, educational failure and cultural loss, created the fund to raise needed scholarship, endowment and operating funds. The Fund disburses approximately 6,000 scholarships annually for American Indian students seeking to better their lives through higher education. The Fund also provides support for tribal college needs ranging from capital support to cultural preservation activities. Each year, the fund hosts a gala to celebrate and raise funds for their scholarships and other programs. On Thursday, October 14, 2010 American Indian College Fund hosts the 2010 Flame of Hope Gala.
