Tom Joyner's presumptuousness about what Black people want in the way of the "reelection of Commander In Chief Obama" is one for the history books in the way of "slight of hand".
No longer should the Negro seek:
- Safe Streets
- Quality Education
- Thriving Local Economies
- Healthy Lifestyles and Relationship Outcomes
as the primary deliverables for our "struggle". As Mr Joyner suggests - we should seek out the "Black Pride" of having the first Black President RE-ELECTED.
Did anyone see where the little ball under the cup disappeared to?
The most rousing approval that Tom Joyner gave to Obama's first term is that he was able to send the same Navy Seal team which shot 3 Somalian Sea Pirates in the forehead in the defense of a White American sea captain into Pakistan to shoot Osama Bin Laden in the head. Unlike the 3 Somalian sea pirates - Bin Laden was an "unarmed man of color".
I wonder how many protesters in San Francisco who protested the police shooting of a Black man with a gun near a BART station were applauding the shooting of Osama Bin Laden in the head - without reading him his Miranda rights? Dead men have no standing in a torture case. They are dead.
The Sales Job Of Tom Joyner, Bev Smith and Ron Daniels
Last night I specifically heard Smith and Daniels telling Black people that we must not be afraid to "Vote Our RACE". Today as I read the Tom Joyner article - I saw an attempt to generate "racial pride" by voting for a (Progressive) Black man.
My rebuke and rebuttal of this entire group of "Embedded Confidence Men" is that they are NOT asking Black people to "Vote Our Race".
They are ONLY asking Black people to "Vote Our PROGRESSIVE-FUNDAMENTALISM" - which is POPULARLY FUSED with our "Racial Consciousness". Period. End of sentence. STOP.
My personal definition of "The Black Community Best Interests" is that which is HALTED when it is proven to be a FAILURE at delivering what has been promised.
As we see - Tom Joyner, Bev Smith and Dr Ron Daniel have no interests in recalibration. They are merely attempting to "double down" on the promotion of Progressive-Fundamentalism. Great for progressives. Not so good for the interests of Black people.
Who would have guessed that a few short years ago in 2008 - after all of the hype about what the Black voter investments in the Obama Administration - would be whittled down to the RACIAL gravitational pull - because they lack the substantive benefits received to Black Americans from our fusion of "race" and "politics" - per their blessing.
The Question To Be Asked Of The Black Ballot Investor
I recall explicitly - 2008 - as I was doing my nightly walk with my dog, suffering through the early says of Internet streaming on my cellphone. Listening to "Tell Me More". The question that was put forth was "Can WHITE Americans put aside their own racial preferences and vote for the best candidate for president?"
I blogged at the time, asking a "dark-matter" question that was not asked.
I know that the proper question was not "Can Black people vote for a non-Black candidate?".
The question that must be asked of Black people must take into account the previous investments that Black people were compelled to make with regard to the promises - as voiced by Bayard Ruskin - as to how the votes as prescribed by this plan would lead to benefit for the Black community.
The proper question to ask of Black people - and the most fraudulent point of the Joyner-Smith-Daniels talking point is:
"After Investing So Much Of Our Key Possessions - Our Ballots and our Racial Hopes - Are You Prepared To Provide A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE That By 'Investing Harder' The Black Community's Permanent Interests Will Be Achieved?"
The truth is that the "Black Community Development Motion" has been hijacked by the American Political Domain. Instead of the evidence of DISCIPLINE in which those who are most interested in the development of our people are seen doggedly refusing to allow individuals who have the agenda of compelling our people to fuse upon a fight that ultimately is not ours to - spit in Malcolm X's face and accept the starting position in the "Malcolm X Political Football Game" that he warned us about.
The worst type of Negro - in my estimation - is not the "poor and ignorant Negro" who's shadow is not cast far beyond his own community. Instead it is the Negro with a microphone in his hand. While operating with complete assumption of his "moral authority" - in truth he is propagating the conscious imprisonment of our people via his antics.
He prefers a "Black person who AGREES WITH HIM" to one of us who stands up to him and calls him out as a fraud. His own persona is so fused to his 'BLACKNESS' that by calling him out as a net harm to the organic development of Black people is seen as an assault on ALL BLACK PEOPLE.
I do not blame the individual operative and their fraud.
It is the BLACK RANK & FILE who ENABLE THEM. This is the problem.
As we live in the time of:
- High Black Unemployment - after decades of local takeover of economic policy
- Young Black Males Channeled From Pillars Of Our Community To Terrorists - despite the control over our culture being in the hands of favorable people
- Young People Who Need To Be Transformed Into The "Professional Service Agents" For Our Community's High Living Standards - being failed by what has become a jobs program for adults
- Our Black male and female relationships - which are the necessary foundation of our societal cell structure - have lost its conscious function as RIGHTS have trumped RESPONSIBILITY and submission to a greater authority
The same people who are allowed to execute upon their "Moral Authority" as they reference our Jim Crow Past - and the POPULARITY of the present - prove time and time again that they don't have the means of advancing our people ORGANICALLY as they assume more power
AFTER ALL OF THIS HAS TRANSPIRED - what else does a scoundrel have to work with?
