"The Root.com" Discusses "The State Of Racism"

Executive Summary For Those Who Don't Want To Read Below:
What Sized "Air Conditioner" Is The Panelist Assembled By "The Root.com" Suggesting That The Black Community Install So That Our "Cool Air" Can Counter The "Blast Furnace" That RACISM Projects As It Seeks To Keep Us All "Hot And Bothered"?

Can you claim to be a qualified home builder IF you never set out to scientifically measure the FORCES that are bearing down upon your infrastructure and how to mitigate their effects upon the occupants within?

This is a picture of a room.
The room has certain dimensions.

We can assume that all of the portals in the room - the windows and doors are closed - thus isolating the room from the unregulated air flow from the outside environment.

The owner of the home has a desire to keep the room at a comfortable 72 degrees on this hot, 96 degree summer day as the heat blast upon her house causing her to sweat and thus needing Fabreeze to freshen up her fabric sofa and chairs later on.

For the lady with the eye for interior decorating and comfort to ACHIEVE HER GOAL of a comfortable room temperature - WHAT in the picture to the right does she need to focus on to actually reach her goal?

As I think of it there are actually 3 things.

1) What Are The Dimensions Of The Room That She Is Attempting To Regulate?
There is a great difference in climate control for a church sanctuary, a high school gym with sweaty athletes and the living room pictured above.    The size of the enclosed room and the "heat generators" within (ie: people doing sporting activity) are critical in the calculations

2) What Insulation And Sunlight Controls Are Present To Regulate The Flow Of External Air and Heat Energy That Radiates Into The Room?

An air conditioner can be turned to "max cool" and blow the coldest air possible.  IF the room is not sealed and hot air is able to cycle in from the outside - the air conditioner will NEVER achieve its goal of bringing the room to the desired temperature.   Having window shades to keep the hot sun from beaming into the room greatly assists the air conditioner in doing its job


3) What Is The BTU Rating Of The Air Conditioner Unit?

The BTU rating of the air conditioner defines its capacity to alter the temperature  a volume of air (officially water) from one point on the thermometer to another.  A more powerful air conditioner would achieve this target more rapidly.

The decision to purchase an air conditioner is primarily based upon the size of the room that needs to be cooled.   The time it takes to achieve the desired temperature and its ability to retain it as the external temperature varies are key attributes.)

4) What Is The Energy EFFICIENCY At Which The Air Conditioner Operates?
The power consumption is a key attribute of the air conditioner itself.
The homeowner is interested in saving money on energy costs while maximizing her cooling capacity.   EFFICIENCY is a critical attribute in her buying decision.



What Was Missing In "The Root.COM's Discussion Of RACISM?

In the sister blog - "The Cultural Strategist" I made note of the words of a mentor of mine which says - "if you can't MEASURE a force - you can't MANAGE a force and thus you will never MITIGATE this force".

As I read the reporting about The Root.com's evening to discuss "The State Of Racism As Perceived By The Generations Of Black People" I chose to go beyond my ideological differences with (nearly) all of the panelists and instead scrutinize the entire gathering on one important question:

DID THEY EVER SEEK TO QUANTIFY THE FORCE OF "RACISM" IN 2011?

I have stated in the past that, for some people, the submission of RACISM into a force that can be measured is a threat to their agenda.   Their goal is to "keep Black people in a racially defensive posture".   In doing so a "threatened people" is more willing to do your bidding out of fear.  By having the force of RACISM as an amorphous force - which might creep up from behind you and slit your throat - for no other reason than you are Black and thus a threat..............this plays in their favor.

With all due respect to The Root.com - its content contributors such as Dr NSenga Burton or (Tired and Retired) Jack White have a track record of "spanning the globe" looking for RACISM that always seems to fit comfortably in the container of their ideological enemies.   The entity's bias is seen not only in the content selection but more importantly in their editorializing.    An "offender" who is an ideological enemy (a conservative) will be blessed with an article on "The Root.com" which details his offense and then the Root.com operative will dutifully link this individual's offense to the PROFILE of the group that the conservative runs with. Then there will be a link to The Root's syndication partner HuffPo where the adversary is worked over some more.

When a "joint-venture partner" Progressive is found to have committed the same offense - we see a "just the facts ma'am" article.  Like HuffPo or MSNBC they can claim that they did not SPIKE the story and thus are not "biased'.  In truth the bias is evident in the ANALYSIS and their choice to keep it as an "individual offense" or to conduct "group profiling" to the detriment of their enemy conservative.

I should also add - the attempts to add a "conservative content provider" (ie: Republican Michael Steele) does not disprove the ideological bias of the entity in balance.   What is often the case is that there are an assortment of ideological bigots - each positing their own individually biased content.

The REAL measure of a "balanced" news site for Black people is one which has a MODEL OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY'S PERMANENT INTERESTS as its foundation and its reporting, when categorized is shown to closely follow the model.

As such - there is no way (in hell) that Sarah Palin and the Tea Party should legitimately be covered so much in a news site which CLAIMS to be promoting the permanent interests of the Black community. Sarah Palin IS NOT A THREAT TO THE BLACK COMMUNITY.  Sarah Palin is a threat to PROGRESSIVISM and the DEMOCRATIC PARTY.  It is only because these METHODOLOGIES which purport to be the pathway to our community's salvation have been FUSED upon our "Community Consciousness" are we made to look at the threats as promoted by the embedded Progressive-Fundamentalist while we turn a blind eye to the Street Pirate - a would-be pillar of our community, upholding our high standards that was fomented into a threat to the health and safety of our community - because of the BENIGN NEGLECT that he suffered as our collective attention was put upon the Tea Party Klan forces.

In 2011 the claim of a Black person suffering a RACIST assault is less likely to be evidenced by:

• A Lynched Black Man (Or murder via any means)
• A Raped Black Woman
• A Black Child Denied Quality Education By The Agents Of His School System Who Strike Against Him Due To His Race And Their Will To Shunt Resources Over To The White School
• A Black Owned Business Put Out Of Business After An Attack On Their Capital Infrastructure

Today the claim of RACISM is more than likely a POLITICAL stance.  The offense is one of "Black Pride" and is used for "Ideological Unity Enforcement.

The claim that Obama has suffered from a RACIST attack from RACIST Birthers by asking for his birth certificate.......	.......does not factor in that as Commander In Chief this Black man has the POWER to order the US Military to transact violence on his command.
On the radio a few weeks ago the claim that Black Conservative Republican Herman Cain is "persona non grata" for the CONSCIOUS Black voter because he is a "Tea Party Favorite" and the TEA PARTY was created in the bath of HATRED for a BLACK PRESIDENT	..........doesn't seem to account for the thousands and thousands of FAVORABLE Black Progressives that run our schools and other "Human Resource Development Institutions" for our people which are causing material harm to our present generation and that the next 60 years of "Black America's fate" is sitting right now in public school classrooms that are failing to sculpt them into the "Professional Service Agents" our community needs them to be in order to obtain our desired Standard Of Living
The claim of the RACIST intent by the American Criminal "Injustice" System to destroy the Black community via incarceration, disenfranchisement and profit	......ironically INFERIORIZES the Black people who received 50%+1 of the Black vote and who now sit as Police Chief, District Attorney, Chief Jailer - all of whom must be in on the conspiracy
When the "White Cracker Barrel Assailant" who beat the hell out of a Black woman is able to draw a crowd of Black Social Justice activists at each and every court hearing as they say "THEY Can't Do This To Our Black Women!!!!!"	.......the knowledge that the daily assault upon Black women by Black men which doesn't motivate these same activists to lift a finger to help out the sista - IMPLICITLY shows that her WORTH is merely an index of her ASSAILANT and his worth to THEIR MOVEMENT. If they can't register an INDICTMENT against him for their agenda then SILENCE is best because otherwise they might be accused of CONTRIBUTING to the negative stereotype of Black men as violent beings. SADLY - they don't realize that this is best taken care of in the INCULCATION process that he and his young female counterpart must go through. But as the activists "RACISM Chase outward" our young suffer from "benign neglect"

I dare to say that "RACISM CHASING IN 2011" has the unintended consequence of proving "Non-White White Supremacy" ALSO exists within the conscious soul of Black people.

My recent visit to Philadelphia - with a time capsule view of 25 years since I have lived there rattled me because - as I read the highly agendized blog posts from a few of its residents - the picture that they paint per their own interests is a MOLESTATION of the actual events on the ground.

Until the Black Journalist understand that every story that is placed to draw the conscious loyalties of Black people into the American Political Domain is "print space" that was NOT USED to tell a story that is supremely relevant to the "Community Cultural Consciousness & Competency Development Domain".  My visit to Philly clarified my purpose to expose this hijacking of our people's confidence.


The State Of Racism Must Be Measured By The IMPUNITY That Exists Not Its Very Existence

There will NEVER be a time on this Earth at which racism does not exist.   Even if we condense into one race that group of people will identify some other fissure to fracture around.

Thus I am forced to believe that those who practice hyperbolic "Racism Chasing" are motivated by some other agenda.

The more accurate consideration beyond the identification of "RACISM" must be the question of if a Black person has been injured by it (certainly the KKK snowman in Idaho fails this test) and if the GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES has sanctioned it as it looked the other way?   In our society we can't control the thoughts of other people (without going crazy following them).  We can only establish due retribution for when they act out on their hatred and cause injury to another.

Rape and Murder will always be with us.
We do not make reference to the presence of murder to conclude that an entire group of people are murderers.  Yet - who more than other Black people today are murdering Black people?  Is there a greater "civil rights violation" that you can think of than murder?

As we look at the same cities that The Root.com has likely done a lifestyle story on - many of these same places are hotbeds for Black on Black murder.  The Civil Rights South was a deadly environment for Black people to live in.  Yet the clear and present danger within forced the Black reporters at the time to spend more time reporting on these threats to our people than they did detailing the rich social and music culture that was present in Memphis, Atlanta or Birmingham.

Incumbent with the measurement of the force of RACISM - per the air conditioning parallel is the need to identify the "Opportunity Costs" that are borne by the Black Community as our investment is made in (Political) Racism Chasing at the cost of investing in good governance within our community.

Are the two mutually exclusive?
ANSWER:  When there is a deliberate attempt to focus Black people's conscious attention outward on ideological threats so that we are put into a "Racially Defensive Posture" and thus the ESTABLISHMENT MACHINE is allowed to retain its power despite their molestation of our "Black Community Permanent Interests" then YES the functional result is that these two concepts cannot occupy the same space and time.

The main flaw in Eugene Robinson's book about the class splintering within the Black Community is that he could not bring himself to speak in the narrative that the popular cities for Black people are "Mission Accomplished Cities".    In as much as today we are living in what was the "Vision Of The Future" some 25 to 40 years ago - the present continued struggle by Black people in these zones should otherwise trigger questions about the authenticity of the "Struggle".    As such Mr Robinson spends the balance of his time on MSNBC chasing "conservative ghosts".   If we were to ever experience he and his cohorts proving transparent analysis upon "What When Wrong In The Struggle" - 40 years from now as someone is assessing this present phase of "The Struggle" they might be reporting a bit more good news.

I am forced to say that Mr Robinson and others are too ideologically smitten to posit such needed transparency.

The Root.com - as it is presently oriented is offensive to the need for INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT and GOOD GOVERNANCE within the Black Community.

One need not be an "attack journalist site" to be effective.
They don't project any particular operating structure upon which they operate off of - besides - traditional Big Central Government Progressivism where Black people will be allowed to achieve our desired ends once we get "favorable progressive politicians" into power.

The greatest flaw of The Root.com's coverage is that they are unwilling to return into these same "Mission Accomplished" cities where they do their "Hanging Out" series and instead choose to do a TRANSPARENT analysis of the government and conscious ecosystem there.

We are more likely to hear a lifestyle profile about Mayor Fox from Charlotte than we are to hear some hard hitting questions directed toward him regarding how he is working in partnership with the community to increase the GDP within the city.
