When it comes to man's injury to the environment the common belief is that "Mother Nature" will swing back, initiating a rebuke that is necessary to restore the point of equilibrium within the closed system.
I am forced to believe that the present siege upon the Black Community that is transpiring in the form of "Air Conditioning Thefts" is the vector by which the signs of a miscalibrated set of priorities within the Black Community is displayed.
The people who are doing the stealing are would be "pillars of the community" that should have been honed into valuable tools for uplift of the community. In as much as they have been exposed to the 'benign neglect' from the Black community that has largely lost its purpose and function - it is their present lack of CONSCIOUSNESS that is providing the unfortunate rebuke of the present affairs within our community.
In their state of DISCONNECTEDNESS - they can't see that the $75 worth of copper taken from a $4,000 - $25,000 HVAC unit translates into a church going Black mother who has entered the chapel seeking spiritual comforting from the stress in her life having to suffer from the additional burden of 90 degree summertime heat in Georgia.
Not only is the heat testing her faith in her religion as she sweats through the sermon - if the preacher has the adequate vision this series of events should provoke them to have CHURCH IN THE COMMUNITY - leaving the air conditioned comfort that they once enjoyed prior to the Street Pirate Attack.
The Black church can no longer CLOSE ITS DOORS to the sight of that which is happening in the community just outside of its insulated walls. With the original intent to keep the cool air inside and the flies outside - the theft of their HVAC unit has brought the CHURCH to the "room temperature" of the community that JESUS told his disciples to go into as the "Fisher Of Men".
