Back In The Day When The USA Boycotted The UN Conference On Racism Was Racist!!!

US To Boycott United Nations' Conference On Racism

Oh how long ago it seems.

Picture the first Black Secretary of State for the United States being asked to "support his consciousness" over his "Administrative relationships" and "Party membership".  As the United State pulled out of the "UN Conference On Racism And Xenophobia" due to concerns that the conference would merely be a session in which "Zionists" were bashed - Colin Powell was attacked for not standing up to the Administration who itself was racist.

In the age of Obama - we see plans for the United States government to boycott this same conference for the second time under Commander In Chief Obama - yet this news does not trigger the same questions of Mr Obama or Susan Rice - the key "ebony decision makers" in and over the State Department.

Did something change in these short 10 years?
Or are protests and criticism only useful tools of indictment against enemy targets?
