A Difference In Values - 3ChicsPolitico/Joan Ruaiz Vs "Organic Competency Development" For The Black Community

The "Wealth Building Years For The Black Community"

The point is clear.

  • As your children matriculate through a school system you as a parent look for evidence of growth in their vocabulary, historical knowledge and mathematical competencies as a reference for the effectiveness of the schools

  • As a troop of Boy Scouts are sent to summer camps over the years there should be evidence that the majority of the troop has acquired new skills that allow them to survive in the wilderness as evidence that the training that they have been exposed to while away from the watchful eyes of their parents is effective

In speaking for myself - IN MY VIEW - as I look at the longitudinal experience of the Black Community in America and the changes of our conditions of freedom and the necessity for "self-determination" - I dare to do the very same thing that the examples above have indicated:   Appraise The Efficacy Of The "System" That We Are Matriculating Through.

When it comes to the Black Community there is no formal building that all of us gather within.   There is no formal program that we all matriculate through.   Instead - there is a prevailing sentiment that is maintained through various mediums of communication that tend to sculpt the views of Black people.  That tend to promote certain ideas with praise and suppress other ideas with expulsion and slander.  Unfortunately some ideas that should be promoted are instead slandered.  Some ideas that should be kicked out of the circle are adopted as the residue of our past oppression.  The popular sentiment is to acknowledge the harm but to ultimately blame others for the condition in question.

The presence of Commander In Chief Barack Obama into power at the helm of the Executive Branch of this nation has exacerbated these type of conversations that I speak of above.

Though I am a frequent critic of the Obama Administration per its attachment to left-wing political and economic theory I have accepted from the beginning that this is a very necessary phase for the Black Community (and greater America) to go though.  I see us all being introduced with new landscapes so that growth and adjustments can be fostered into our "governing culture".

"You Too Can Become A 'REAL BLACK' If You Invest Your Equal Black Ballot Into The Container.
If You Agree To  Protest Against That Which We Approve And Remain Silent Against That Which We Are Protecting...
.....You'll Never Risk Losing Your "Real Black Status"
"Your Consciousness Soul? "  Well That's A Different Matter.
You'll No Longer Need This Anyway As We Will Give You "Social Justice" And Care For All Of Your Worldly Needs.

With Obama:
  • Black people have shown our enduring loyalties.  The proclivity to "dance with the one that brought us".

  • Promote our prevailing ideological preferences through the party and people who represent these values

  • Fused our "Racial/Community Development Consciousness & Hopes" through the methodology and vehicle that he represents.  His/Their enemy have become "the enemy of Black people" and is now the structure of what was once "The Civil Rights Movement" for the protection and advancement of Black people.

Though I strongly disagree with many of the points above and routinely point out the faults of what I believe to be a "flawed strategy" - I GET IT.

At the same time that I realize that there is a popular sentiment held by Black people about Progressive ideological theory, the build up of a strong central "Social Justice" government, the Democratic Party, the fusion of the Black Development Movement through the "Bayard Rustin Scheme", the array of Black Elected Officials, the Progressive-Joint Venture with others - and of course Commander In Chief Obama...........it is also true that the "rightness" of our decision to make such a fusion should not be measured by the popularity among the 'congregation'.

There is a need to do a transparent appraisal of the efficacy of our venture just as the bullet point items above suggest is necessary for the schools and the Boy Scout troop.

The results of the US Census and the analysis by the Pew Research study from several weeks ago was such an independent appraisal.   It showed that Black people had lost ground in the area of wealth creation.  The US Census showed that more of us are moving away from the "settled ground" of the "Mission Accomplished Cities" - often into closer quarters with the prevailing "ideological enemies" because this is where the educational and job opportunities for Black people reside.

No doubt the ladies of "The Help" would have chosen to remove themselves from the hostilities shown if they had a choice.  Circumstances compelled them to remain in close proximity to those who could only see them as "The Help".  We also saw how the network of forces within the community worked to "keep them in their places".  (the police, the pawn shop owners, the ladies of the house that could black-list 'disagreeable' workers).

When I watch these type of movies and see the historical "Civil Rights" films that are shown each year on MLK Day and Black History Month - I don't bathe in the information of our people's past oppression as an attempt to explain our present condition.  Instead I see the people on the screen and make note that this is not the life experience of the monopoly majority of Black people living in America today.  That while incidents of hatred still exist today - the prevailing authority enforces the law and provides a recourse to any Black person who is aggrieved as such.   Thus it is not rational to look at the incident of RACISM in Mississippi at the hands of a pickup truck and proclaim that "Nothing has change in this racist nation".    The more logical conclusion is that while this ignorant and hate-filled White boy has chosen to strike out - the system of law enforcement is no longer complicit in his actions.  He now sits in jail.   While he might have intended to "send a message to other Blacks - his incarceration and likely death penalty should send a message to others who have a hate streak like his own - "Keep it to yourself.  When you act out on hatred - the society will rebuke the action".

Blacks In A "Care-Taker State", Blacks With Sufficient "Organic Competencies" Established Via The Institutions That We Now Control

As I made my rounds looking through various Black themed blogs that I peek into on a frequent basis I ran across a letter that was posted on the "3ChicsPolitico" blog.  3 Chics is a "JingOist" blog that is part of the "Obama can do no wrong as long as he remains progressive" message that dominates the Black political discourse of the day.   As such these type of blogs spend a good portion of their time "Keeping Their Enemies On Trial So They Don't Have To Indict Their Friends".

Unfortunately (as my friend Cord Jefferson showed in his 6-party pre-2010 mid-term soliloquy of  "All That Obama Has Done For Us And We Should Be Thankful To Him By Making Another Investment To 'Stand With Obama' " ) when they do choose to "inspect their friends" - the reference threshold of success was pre-established so that the friend could come out with flying colors.  He is notified of his award for no other reason than the fact that they want him to come to the awards luncheon so that he can be in their presence.

I have stated in the past that both left and right should work to ensure that the model that they construct based upon the priorities that they promote should have FIDELITY TO THE REAL WORLD.   Failing this the "All White Jury Effect" is produced.   A molestation of justice despite a "high conviction rate" that they tout.

For me - as an observer of "What Makes The Black Community's Political Mind Tick" the sight of high praise  and self-congratulation using Obama as the centerpiece while the Black community is massively aggrieved sets up the "shifting sands" of the sales job that I have noted to the left.  Fake, self-indulgent points of measurement for success that were erected to receive Black people's "Investments" in 2008 are cast aside during the appraisal process as a brand new set of fake, self-indulgent points of measurements are erected for the 2012 campaign and the continuing desire to do our part in keeping Obama's poll numbers high by abstracting our real world experiences from what we tell the pollsters.   The US Census and other independent, third party sampling entities are invaluable in pointing out the truth.

With all of what is said above as the background for my analysis and argument about the Joan Ruaiz letter that was deemed worthy for publication on the august "3Chics Politico" blog - my reaction to the points laid out in the letter showcase the different priorities that I have in comparison to them.

When I read the letter I came from the mindset of "ORGANIC COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT".  As Ms Ruaiz sang Obama's praises for "All that he has done for us, and he is indeed worthy" I looked past the increased condition of care and tried to identify the enhanced capabilities to provide for self that "The Least Of These" are now equipped with thanks to Obama.

To be clear - I am not saying that those who I disagree with ideologically are 'evil' or that they are out to hurt Black people and others in the commonly accepted "Least Of These" factions.  I am only saying that in the big scheme of things - the passage of time will showcase the "unintended consequences" of each of our longitudinal strategies.

I have chosen to avoid debating and rebutting each of the items contained in the letter from Ms Ruaiz and endorsed by "3Chics".  Instead I have chosen to categorize them:
  • "Social Justice" Redistributioninst Policies

  • "Organic Competencies Expressed Through Our Local Institutions"

"Social Justice" relates to the growing list of items that are a part of our "National Social Contract".  The resources and benefits that all human beings who are within the bounds of America should have access to - in the expression of our "humanity".

"Organic Competencies" relate to the operation of our key human resource development and governance institutions (our schools, our cultural entities, our law enforcement) which sculpt the people toward a higher state of living - with the emphasis at distributing competencies at the most peripheral point in the architecture - STRONG INDIVIDUALS.

Needless to say I prefer a strong periphery.   From a logistical standpoint it is easier to build up a strong nation by having strong individuals with a maximized consciousness of the part that they play in building up a strong society.  In playing on their selfishness in pursuit of group interests as they battle other groups in the same space - their willingness to contribute to the group effort ultimately is aggregated upward for the benefit of the entire nation.  Example though Home Depot and Lowes compete with each other in a rather aggressive manner - their individual "GDP" is ultimately rolled up into the nation's production picture.

The following analysis is not a "hit piece" on Ms Ruaiz or 3Chics.  It is an enumeration of the differences between our priorities and values.

I have abstracted the key points out of Ms Ruaiz' letter and mapped them accordingly.

As a constituent who resides in your district, I just want to weigh in on the hatred and political divisiveness that I hear and read about on the news and on the Internet. There are forces working very hard at making sure that President Obama is defeated in 2012. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they took an oath or signed a pledge to that effect.

The newest political strategy is to turn the African-American community against the first black president. The idea is to get black folks to scream at the President and to threaten to withhold our support come November 2012. Due to the very high unemployment rate in the black community, this could be an easy sell. The well-paid professional propagandists don’t ask African-Americans to lay the blame for the lack of employment at the feet of the business world (which is hoarding up a couple of trillions in their rainy-day fund), or to consider the fact that governors everywhere are cutting down on the public sector workforce (comprised of large numbers of black Americans per capita), or to holler at the Republican-dominated House, which has blocked most of the job-creating programs introduced by Democrats. Instead, they want us to aim our fire solely at our President and to blame him for 30 years of white men’s policies.

...would now be encouraged to drop their support of a black president who has done what I have listed in such a short time amidst political provocateurs and opportunists throwing rocks at him from the Left and the Right. It makes no common sense to me. In fact, it only tells me that we must insure that our community is well informed, so that we all hold steadfast, even as the most spoiled and entitled in this nation attempt to hoodwink us into believing that somehow we are worse off with this president than we have been with any other.

The Obama presidency is not about him, nor is it about black people. His presidency is about good common-sense governance for all Americans, while dealing with incredible odds and looking hateful enemies in the eye. Every day they conjure up ways to destroy this nation, just to say it happened on his watch. My bumper sticker statements are that ObamaCares, while Republicans won’t, and we shouldn’t turn our backs on him, we should cover his.
And there you have it folks.

Analysis

"With Jesus On Our Side" - WE are doing "God's work' while our enemies are of the devil.
Such a simplistic assignment of intent yet it so frequently looks past the effective results that transpire.

Should I believe that the people who have run Detroit, Newark or Chicago "love Black people" after their IDEOLOGICAL ENEMIES have been purged and now they get to extol the glories of progressivism upon our people?

What about the public school systems of Memphis or Philadelphia or Atlanta lead one to believe that they are NOT the "enemies of a well educated Black population"?

The main criticism that I have about Joan Ruaiz' list is that it does not "contain Black people" - our competencies.  Our ability to leverage the structure that was built up in the "Bayard Rustin Black Community Empowerment Scheme" for "good living among Negroes".   It does not match the need for improved health care coverage among 'the Least Of These' with evidence of increased output from the educational system.

Simply put - if there is no FEDERAL PROGRAM to increase the representation of professional service providers in a critical area of need for Black people..............that NEED goes unserviced.

When you look at the present "Permission To Speak Truth To Power" with "Obama as the Power" - you should see the type of consciousness that is found in Ms Ruaiz.

Oh indeed you see "Black Unemployment" and frustration by Black people as to this nation's economic condition.  Be sure though - it was "WHITE MEN'S POLICIES" that has caused this.

The images above speak to the FORCE that is applied which might tip the balance in our community's favor.
It seems that Ms Ruaiz is more compelled to appraise the quality and legitimacy of these forces based upon their INTENTION to provide "Services" to Black people and "The Least Of These".   This is the cornerstone to Progressive-Fundamentalist though.

When it comes to documenting the increasing growth in POWER of these progressive forces - first from the grass roots as they take control over local governments - today they have a representative in the White House and spread throughout the federal legislature.   We are to believe that the forces of 60 in the "Tea Party Caucus" have the equal and opposite POWER to thwart all of the 'good works' that our friends the Progressive have in mind for the Negro race.

Ms Ruaiz is unable to reference the sight of Chicago, Atlanta, Newark or New York where strong Progressive-Democratic machines dominate the political landscape - eviscerating any hopes that a 'Tea Party Racist' will lurch upward and cut the throat of the hopes of the Black Progressives.

In the calculus of Ms Ruaiz and other Black Progressive-Fundamentalists theirs is a struggle AGAINST the forces that threaten their glorious reign.  We must look at the path that is left to take, not make note of where they have already trekked to find evidence of organic increase among our people as a result.

Anyone who buys into this meme will necessarily yield their "governance and inspection" of the representatives that they have promoted into power.  Though the results are often the same as when the struggle started - their affirmation of the policies per the good intentions necessitates that the source of the shortfall be found.   With Progressivism being a foregone conclusion of efficacy for the Progressive-Fundamentalist he is forced to find which external antagonist is responsible for the shortfall.

But Wait - Where Is Your Evidence Of Decreased Dependency Upon Your Enemy?

Under the guise of "unity" and "bringing people together" - those who resist their kind of "unity" because they realize that their pockets will be picked in the process - are known as "haters" - provoking societal divides for the purposes of continued advantage.

The circular irony that I notice is that they call for more funding for education so that our people might be made more strong and competent.  As they grow in power over these institutions - the continuing shortfalls in results are not seen as a flaw in their distribution theories.  Instead it shows that more resources are needed before one can expect to see the promised results.  In summary - before they accept that they fail to produce EQUALITY - they must force their external enemies to commit to providing them with resources EQUAL to that which they provide for their own.

By shifting the power from the hands of the private property owner over to the government - this powerful centralized government can "MAKE EQUAL" via their policies.  "Equalism" becomes just as oppressive as "Racism" if left unchecked and allowed to run through to their logical conclusion.

What we soon find out is that what is actually the acknowledgement of weakness and incompetency in developing "organic competencies" finds its "strong fake front" by standing up a strong government.

When Maxine Waters - expert job creator - was heard last week at the CBC Job's Fair "speaking truth to CORPORATE Power", saying "If you all don't have any jobs in hand but instead want to come out for public relations purposes - we don't want you here".  Mrs Waters' fans were heightened in that she set the terms for these corporations - who are "hoarding $2T in cash".   By contrast the conservative looks at those who are standing in line out of desperation and calls them names - or so we are told.

Few people bother to make note of the length of time that Rep Waters and other progressive power brokers have been in power, promising that our continued investment in their retention of power would lead to a just pay off.  Fortunately for Rep Waters - they are able to string people like Ms Ruaiz along.  Each TRANSACTIONAL battle against the forces of Anti-Progressivism is evidence of their concern.   As such - they are predisposed to avoid the longitudinal analysis that I evaluate them with.

With this comes the arbitrary and incredibly low thresholds for success that Ms Ruaiz measures progressives with.   This same voice can be heard on "Black-wing talk radio" in praise of Obama.   They all know that if we took the exact same data-points as we experience today and insert an enemy Republican - their passionate support would turn to angry protests on the street for their condition.

The ONLY means of confounding a Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism Chaser is to define the proper dimensions of the Black community and force them to define how closely they are able to have us stand ERECT to this reference architecture.

If we are not inching upward EFFICIENTLY with respect to time - then this is a sign of INeffectiveness - INTENT BE DAMNED!!!!

There are no "Black People" in Ms Ruaiz's list.
Our COMPETENCIES are no where to be found.
Only our NEEDS.
