Thinking "But For The Grace Of NATO This Could Be Us"......African Union Does Not Recognize Libyan Rebels As The Government Of Libya

The credibility and integrity of the African Union is being tested.
After decades of condemning coups - NATO has initiated one of their own in Libya.   The victors are going to the African Union seeking to receive their approval for these actions that were precipitated by over 17,000 air bombing raids in support of the rebels against the recognized government of Libya.

It would be wise for the African Union to see that by branding legitimacy to this movement - tomorrow it may be their country that is the next victim of a NATO lead coup with the United States and an assortment of African Colonists playing their hand on the continent of Africa.

As a realist, noting the heavy gunfire in Libya I agree that the call for peace by the African Union is the most logical strategy for an organization that cannot force the combatants to abide by its will - let alone defend the African continent from external munitions that fly across the Mediterranean Sea.

The "humanitarian mission" to protect the lives of Libyans lost its credibility long ago when it became clear that NATO merely used the actions transpiring in other nations in the extended region as a means to operate as the air force in protection of the rebel forces.  As a result thousands of Libyan people on both sides of the conflict lay dead.  This is the price to pay for a different government - in the eyes of NATO.

How many billions of dollars in infrastructure damage has done in the name of "humanitarian aid"?
