Huffington Post's Black Voices (Owned By AOL) : Marcia Dyson: Take Me To The Waters
As the growth in venues for "Black political discourse" grows - we should not be fooled into believing that the increase in quantity translates into a selection of views and ideas. In truth more echo's can now be heard.
I'm also mindful of the vicious, repugnant attacks our president has endured, often for no other reason than he's black. - Marcia Dyson
Anyone who has read this blog over time should not be surprised to hear Black elected officials "asking permission" to SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER. After all they don't want to hurt "the Power's" reelection chances. Black people have been unemployed, under-educated and exposed to violent threats for a long time..........what does it hurt to endure these things for another couple of years when our SILENCE can bring forth yet another interval for "hope & change"?
When it comes to receiving attacks from Progressive-Fundamentalists for speaking out of turn - as a Black Conservator and critic of the entire 'Black Racial Services Machine' you learn to expect the attacks. I have chosen to enter into venues where attacks are highly likely, learning over time how to categorize them and shift the conversation back to the substantive issues.
The purpose of the attack is done for no other reason than to retain "Ideological Unity Enforcement".
Ironically the latest round of attacks have been against individuals who dared note that key "Black Permanent Interests" have been shorted as they apply a "progressive measuring stick" to those who are typically yielding it against their more conservative enemies.
This entire series of events is really a highlight upon the contamination within the cogs of the "Black Racial Services Machine". They attempt to cleave to their "Permanent Struggle" meme yet can't cope with the fact that their previous struggles has made them a greater part of the establishment. Being loathed to "protest against themselves" - they choose to remain silent - hoping that no one else will notice the absence of their voices.
The American attacks on Libya offer up the most glowing example of this hypocrisy and fraud that I speak of. When given the choice between "The Poll Standings of Obama" versus "The Maintenance Of The Sanctity Of The 'Motherland' From Molestation By Imperialist And Colonial Forces" - Obama won out. Ironically - even those who protested against Obama at a local Anti-Libya War Rally that I have attended (I still have my notes that I need to make a post upon this blog) - they all said "We are going to vote for Obama in 2012" because the right wing choice remains an unthinkable alternative.
They can't bring themselves to see that METHODOLOGICALLY they are PROGRESSIVES because the ENDS that the Right-Wing Conservatives bring are unsavory to their soul. The notation that "one of their own" has brought forth the same war-mongering, domestic unemployment, squandered education appears to be lost on the masses of Progressives. I am not talking about "Obama" in the previous sentence. I am talking about the constellation of Progressives who form the machine that now controls the Black community. In their delivery of the outcomes that our people grieve about and their hope placed in Obama - that he will fight the enemy Conservatives harder - they are loathed to enforce their ideological foundations.
We are seeing with our own eyes that the benefits that were to come from "2009-2013" are now being pushed outward into "2013-2016" IF the Black community makes yet another investment of our "Equal Black Ballots" and continue to fuse our "Community Development Consciousness" toward reelection. Why is anyone surprised at this? What other disposition did you think was possible once the "blank canvas" became full of paint?
What we have at present is a need for BLACK INSTITUTIONS to protect their INTEGRITY in a manner that has little to do with Obama and his re-election. Despite the popular use of the analogy about "The Black Mistress" - these said institutions who fail to establish boundaries are the real problem.
Within the Black community a norm is established where "Slavery" and "Jim Crow Racism" is the baseline. All that has been obtained above this - we are to be "thankful" for, thus purchasing our continued loyalties.
It just so happens that the adoption of "Progressivism" is the bleach that washing all White people of their Slavery/Jim Crow past. They become as "clean as the undriven snow" because they are fighting along-side Black Progressives against the common enemy.
All of this points to what I have concluded long ago: "HERE IS NO LONGER AN ORGANIC BLACK COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENDA". It is only an "American Political and Ideological Struggle" - with Integration as the main culprit.
The benefit of the Black Progressive to the Progressive agenda is that he can call attacks on Progressives "RACISM(!!!!)". Add to this his "Equal Black Ballots" invested in a dependable manner and the quid pro quo of promised "Social Justice" received by Black people and the joint-venture's foundations are sealed.
The best way to confound the Black Progressive-Fundamentalist is to:
- (Ironically) Keep his focus WITHIN the Black Community
- Consider all of the investments that our people have made
- Demand that he provide evidence of our ORGANIC increase
By focusing in on the insatiable notion of "Nationalized Social Justice", by comparison - our people have our "development consciousness" moved away from the conduct within our community and outward toward the national struggle for power.
The silence against Obama is in direct support of this grand struggle.
It is time for our people to demand earnest money along the way.
