I need to say it. If Dick Gregory can make up conspiracy theories then so can I:
The spirits of Martin, Ralph, Hosea and Vernon must be responsible for blowing Hurricane Irene up to the Mid-Atlantic coast with the timing enough to cause the "Civil Rights Pharisees" of today who have hijacked the spirit of their message into having to pay their airlines extra money for ticket change fees - as the ceremony on Sunday to commemorate the King Memorial on the National Mall has been postponed to another date due to in climate weather and the threat of flooding.
From The "Skeptical Brother blog" about Markel Hutchins:
Listening to Rev. Markel Hutchins preach is like listening to Martin Luther King, Jr for the first time-it gives you chills. The thirty year-old preacher has an extensive record of activism and community organizing on behalf of the voiceless and powerless.
Working with the progressive labor movement against Wal-Mart and for health care and living wages, Hutchins cuts a charismatic figure fighting for people in stark contrast to Congressman John Lewis who seems to have lost his nerve.
Lewis, a distinguished warrior during the civil rights movement, was beaten countless times by the racist stormtroopers of the confederacy. He faced down dogs and hoses only to punk out as a member of congress and to remain silent in the face of Bill Clinton’s unconscionable attempts to racially polarize the electorate for the benefit of his wife.
Only after Hutchins announcement of his candidacy did John Lewis find a pair and leave Hillary’s plantation.
Correct me if I am wrong, Skeptical Bro - but I don't recall Martin Luther King Jr ever seeking jackpot payouts for "services rendered" on behalf of "JUSTICE"? Indeed - the lawyers got 1/3 of the $4.9 million that the City Of Atlanta paid to the Johnston estate after their police men killed 92 year old Kathryn Johnston in a botched drug raid. If the good reverend was not doing this "Pro Bono - Jesus style" why didn't he get the understanding in writing?
After his death the "King Papers" - stored in boxes in his basement and uncovered years after his death were sold to Morehouse College in Atlanta for $32 million - with some portion of these funds being donated by the City of Atlanta.

Indeed we live in a different age than did Martin King and Vernon Johns. Neither of them had unfettered access to the court system to wage lawsuits in the name of justice. Instead they were forced to lay the groundwork for what we take for granted today.
Unfortunately the hijackers are performing the RITUALS that these great men and women established as references for how to operate in a world where "a Black man has no rights that a White man need respect". They defend their actions by shielding themselves using the corpses that still have enough worldly artifacts to be just barely recognizable as the original occupant. Their agenda and transparency could not be more divergent.
The Need For Institutional Integrity Protection WITHIN The Black Community
If a Christian preacher seeks to operate with the compensation model of a lawyer or trade his pulpit for a political news desk - this is all well and good for that individual.
When it comes to the goal of protecting from "Cross Contamination" where those distinct domains are fused together - the job of the "congregation" is to force their Christian preacher to wear a "Visitors Badge" when he steps back into the pulpit lest they become unwitting co-conspirators to his prunings and grafts.
Today the powerful individual gets to set his own terms and the bigoted congregation follows along. They are sold on the advantage that will come their way as new money stream or more visibility will come their way through their multi-media star.

ATLANTA — An Atlanta minister who acted as spokesman for relatives of a 92-year-old woman killed by police in a botched drug raid is suing the family for nearly $500,000 in what he said is unpaid compensation.
The lawsuit filed Wednesday by the Rev. Markel Hutchins demands money he claims he was promised by Kathryn Johnston's niece, Sarah Dozier. Hutchins said there was a verbal agreement that he would get 10 percent of the $4.9 million awarded to Dozier by the city.
Johnston was shot dead in 2006 after members of an Atlanta police drug squad kicked in her door. Investigators later discovered that officers planted drugs in Johnston's home to back up their story after they found no drugs there.
Neither Dozier nor her attorney returned calls seeking
