With The South Reverting To "Racially Identifiable Political Parties" Progressives Are Now Calling For Changes To The Voting Rights Act

Jay Bookman AJC: Redistricting recreating a sad era in Georgia politics

Add the AJC's Jay Bookman to the growing list of Progressive-Fundamentalists who see the consequences of carving out "majority minority" voting districts per the direction of the Voting Rights Act.  His former counterpart Cynthia Tucker had written about her changed opinions on the matter a few weeks ago.

Though they have come to the same conclusion that I have voiced for several years regarding "Majority Minority Districts" their justifications are very different than mine.

In the recent past in Georgia a strange coalition of Black Democrats and White Republicans would team up during redistricting.   As a highly concentrated Black district was drawn to ensure Black (Democratic) Representation this also left favorably concentrated White majority districts leaned Republican.   The key force that was protesting these strange bedfellows was the White Progressive Democrat who could not compete in conservative White districts or progressive Black districts - each of whom wanted one of "their own kind" to represent them.

My justification for opposing the majority minority districts was because these concentrated districts produced extremists - conservative and progressive.  Of course this blog focuses "WITHIN the Black Community" so the question of the ability of the Black Progressive-Fundamentalist representatives that are promoted and their ability to bring forth our community's "Permanent Interests" is a prime concern to me.  The fact that so many "Black Flight Progressives" are departing these "Mission Accomplished District" - ironically moving into zones that are represented by "their ideological enemies" in pursuit of the interests of their family prove the misalignment between what is done to promote "Black (Progressive) Representation" and the Black interests.

If you read the column by Jay Bookman he strangely accuses the Georgia Republicans of abusing the VRA in order to pit White Democrats against Black Democrats - thus purging the White Democrats.  The big picture scheme - enter John Lewis - is to have Blacks marginalized into one party with this party being the party out of power in the South - the Democrats.

I take it that Mr Bookman doesn't know the story of Fannie Lou Hamer - a strong Black woman from Mississippi who sought political representation in the dominate part of power in the South at the time - the Democrats.   Her saga is the opposite of what we have today.  The Black Racial Services Machine is the force that compels Blacks to keep our tails out of the Republican Party.  The party is unworthy of the Black Progressive support until IT CHANGES ITS WAYS. 

Mind you that there are so many "Mission Accomplished" zones that have adopted policies that are favorable to the Black Racial Services Machine.  Despite this take over - our Black Permanent Interests have not been acquired.  Clearly their agenda is something other than our "Permanent Interests".

Still - my agenda IS NOT to have Blacks enter into the Republican Party.  The scheme to compel our people that our "Community Development Consciousness" resides through the doorway of a different party is just as fraudulent as the one that tells us that this end point can by found through today's more popular choice of party.

Vote for who you will!!   Just make sure that you only vote for what is possible to be solved via the 'American Political Domain'.

For other issues that must be addressed at the community level - you need to fight any Embedded Confidence Man that tries to tell you that these issues can be resolved through an investment of your 'Equal Black Ballot'.    After you come up short yet the next election draws neigh - they tell you that if you fail to invest another batch of ballots you will be hurt by the enemy.  Rinse and Repeat.

What we have is a need for a major realignment of Black Community migration and uplift theories.  The political parties are going to use their geographic information systems to produce their advantage.  The Black community needs to understand that THEIR advantage is not OURS.   Unfortunately our present circumstances are not understood as such in the minds of some who wish us to "Struggle More" and INVEST.
