At that time I said that since the county mandates that each district representative reside in the given district but receive the majority vote from the county - they may as well allow for district voting.
I hereby withdraw that position and suggest that Fayette County Georgia merely have an At-large system - retaining the county-majority voting.
The preponderance of evidence per my intensive study of the present prevailing Black political discourse has forced me to switch over to a force that is the "anti-matter" of the popular "struggle" milieu. I will not accept a public policy change unless those who are advocating for it prove that it will help Black people achieve our PERMANENT INTERESTS and not merely satisfy their METHODOLOGY which they INTEND to advance our cause.
My Clearer Vision - Outcomes Over Methodologies
When you appraise the NAACP's position it seems to be "Pro-Black". They make the note that this present scheme prevents the increasingly Black northern part of the county (which resides across the line from Fulton County) from elected a Black (Democrat) to the county board as they desire.
Per my argument about "methodologies" - if you follow my analysis of the "Bayard Ruskin Scheme" - Black communities were to be made prosperous by electing Democrats to institute Progressive policies. In today's world a Democrat does not need to be Black to implement policies that are favorable to a Black Progressive. He only need be a progressive - in line with the "Black Racial Services Machine" and having adopted the strategy in line with progressive joint-venture partnership that they are now using to gain POWER. Let's just stop fooling each other on what this really is.
Fayette County Georgia represents the conundrum of Modern Black Political Discourse and the gross irony and hypocrisy that it represents.
You see the fastest growing population in Fayette County Georgia is "Black Flight Progressives". As a resident for 15 years there is a dramatic difference in the number of my fellow Blacks that now choose to live in this Republican dominated county. As long as the NAACP is allowed to stop at the "cover of the book" they can make a rather compelling argument that the present system does not allow the northern population to put the Black (Democrat) who they desire on the county board.
It is vital that we separate METHODOLOGY from EFFECTIVE OUTCOMES. The sad truth is that for the majority of the "Black Flight Progressives" to actually obtain their BLACK PERMANENT INTERESTS...................they have to MOVE AWAY from the "Mission Accomplished Zones of:
- South Fulton County
- Atlanta
- Dekalb County
- Clayton County
..............moving next door to their enemy ideology.
The Activists Of Leisure Have Their Low Hanging Fruit Eaten Up By Squirrels
As I drove home last Friday down Highway 314 I was greeted by a wall of traffic. Those who were in attendance at "Olivette Baptist Church" for the memorial service for the late Rev Dr Howard Creecy spilled over from the church parking lot, onto the grass median. I decided to pull over and go into the memorial service. My goal was to understand the legacy of the man who I disagreed with on the radio as he believed that the suspected lynching in Mississippi from late 2010 was a greater threat than the dead Black man that appears in metro Atlanta ever 1.25 days.
The truth is that Rev Creecy's church resided in a Republican dominated - Tea Party compliant county. Despite having the "Civil Rights Pharisee cadence" used before the radio crowd that day he prompted me to call in - his church is not under threat from any right-wing marauders. The last two Black people to be murdered in Fayette County Georgia - happened over the last 3 years. Both were young Black males - shot by those who traveled from neighboring Clayton County. One having been followed home from a party and shot in North Fayette. The other shot at the scene of a house party - in North Fayette. It is clear that the prevailing "Black progressive political theocracy" is misaligned with what is actually happening on the streets of where we live.
Of the newly transplanted Black Flight Progressives that I have talked to the primary reasons for their "living with the enemy" is:
- The low crime rate and safe communities
- The quality of the schools as compared to where they moved from
- The retention of property values
- The access to top line retail shopping
My criticism of the NAACP and the Black Racial Services Machine in general is that while they are expert at compelling Black people to execute certain METHODOLOGIES.......they have largely failed to organically produce the "Black Permanent Interests" that our people are in pursuit of - once they obtain a victory per the methodologies that they have followed. In a rather ironic twist of fate - the oft heard claim of "VOTING AGAINST YOUR OWN INTERESTS" needs to be applied to this pattern of "hamster wheel" struggling in pursuit of social justice.
On yesterday's "Fight The Power Radio Show" (Derrick Boazman's "Too Much Truth" at 4pm on WAOK) the show host said - in the context of defending the "Smiley-West Poverty Tour"..........................."After all of these years of promoting Black politicians into power the Black community's economic and social condition has not changed". (I plan to do an expanded post on the "Black Progressive Clique Split Over Smiley-West")
Please don't be fooled by the words that come out of this man's mouth. While I agree with him in his differences in views on this subject as he stands against all of the other hosts that came on earlier in the day that were attacking Smiley-West - the truth is that while "Fight The Power" made the same observations about the sorry economic conditions along "Lowery Blvd" and "Boone Blvd" that I have made.................he seeks to RETAIN the "Black Racial Services Machine" domination over these places while I am showing their incompetence in building up our people.
After years of using our people - fusing our "Black Community Development Consciousness" to extract their Equal Black Ballots - 12 months from now "Fight The Power" will be marketing to our people to make yet another INVESTMENT.
I call for a firewall between our "Racial Consciousness Nucleus" and the "American Political Domain".
As for Fayette County - of course, while the NAACP is too arrogant to admit it - WHATEVER scheme that Fayette County Georgia has been running that has keep their enemy Republicans as the impaneled monopoly majority on the county board and school board - it has WORKED to attract masses of Black people into the county to not just PURSUE but to live out their Permanent Interests.
The Black graduation rate in Fayette County is 92% (IIRC). Just a few miles up the road it drops down to 79%. It is the Black Rank & File that needs to regulate the NAACP. Forcing it to produce EFFECTIVE RESULTS in the domains that our people have fused our hopes to their agenda, only to come up with "snake eyes".
The problem is that as "Activists of Leisure" they are able to project INDICTMENTS in the name of "Social Justice" but are not MANAGERS - forced to produce the desired outcomes or be fired.
While few Black Flight Progressives, now nestled in Fayette County would likely agree that "Dem White folks in county leadership don't want no Blacks to run anything in Fayette. That why we must fight them in court....................." they are loathed to look at Clayton, Dekalb and Fulton and prove to the Black Rank & File that our Permanent Interests have been accentuated rather than molested.
Clearly the problem is with IDEOLOGY and not RACE.
In truth it is this destructive IDEOLOGY that is harming the interests of Black people where ever it is allowed to grow unchecked like kudzu.
"Social Justice" for Black people in Fayette County has been expressed by the hands of the enemies of the NAACP. How ironic.
