Audio Report: Mumia Abu Jamal On Today's Black Leaders
My opinions of Mumia "Killa Mu" Jamal are sufficiently documented.
My ability to filter out my personal opinions of a given person or organization and allow "the truth" to flow through forces me to post the truth as told by Mumia "Killa Mu" Jamal.
Despite what some people think - I have more respect for a Progressive-Fundamentalist that actually believes what they believe and works to practice it. Consistency is all that I ask though I might disagree. The problem that I have is with "Political Establishment Progressives" who's views are more aligned with their support or hatred of those who are in power than one can find consistency with their beliefs.
As we see the "Black Political Discourse" experiences "MSNBC-ification" the sage warnings of Jamal appears to be like a beacon of light in the dark.
MSNBC did not fund "The Grio.com" and hire Professional Progressive Political Preacher Rev Al Sharpton without their full understanding of what they were purchasing as part of the entire deal. MSNBC/Comcast IS 'corporate media'. Do not confuse POPULARITY WITH BLACK FOLKS with PURITY. In truth the absence of Black protests over the hijacking of our community consciousness is merely a sign of mass complicity.
The most damning indicator out of all of them is the fact that despite this rise in Black (Progressive) Political leadership (as Jamal has said) the conditions within the Black community remains precarious. The job of the "Embedded Confidence Men" is to divert us so that we don't keep a watchful eye on what is going on.
The recent words from the CBC which has Black folks focused on the "Tea Party" as Enemy #1 to Black America is merely another diversion.
The fact that I would publish Mumia Abu Jamal (the clip from "The Friday Night Drum" on WRFG "The Progressive Information Station") should be an indication of the painful truth that even he sees.
