If Bill Clinton had been in the White House and had failed to address this problem, we probably would be marching on the White House

What Is The Weight Upon Black Progerssives' Backs For Carrying Barack Obama's Water?Miami Herald - Rep Emanuel Cleaver - Black caucus chairman treads line between criticizing, supporting Obama

I have been listening to Sharpton and Madison and Ballentine and other local Black-wing Talk Radio hosts.  I believe that I can accurately portray their voice upon hearing these criticism of the Black Rank & File and his CBC peers.

With their goal being, centrally, the protection of Progressivism and as a result President Obama who will lead the fight against their conservative enemy - these radio voices will immediately put Emanuel Cleaver on trial.

  • "What has Cleaver done to advance the Obama Administration's policies in the US House?"
  • "Why hasn't the CBC fought against the Republican Tea Party in a more spirited manner?"
The point that you must understand (and I have an article on Joe Madison in draft form) is that they all start off with the notion that the 'Obama Policies Are Correct' and that it is our duty to drive them forward.

It is critical that they stand up the Conservative Republican enemy as the force that is causing the present travail.  This displaces any transparent scrutiny of Obama's progressive policies and their effectiveness.  These policies are progressive and thus, by definition, they are the right policies for Black people.

Today as he was pushing his book on CNN, opinion writer Erol Lewis announced that Obama's plans to tax the rich was "sound economic policy" as he spent the balance of his time tearing down the opposition Republican position.  What we are not going to hear from Lewis or other Black Progressive-Fundamentalist in the media is an analysis of the aggregate progressive policies from the vantage point of their ability to create organic competencies within the Black communities where they dominate without challenge.   Why, after more than 50 years is it that these 'Mission Accomplished Zones' aren't more dependable jobs engines for our people?

We have to conclude that the gap between where the Black community presently stands (economically, academically, etc) and where we SHOULD HAVE BEEN had a more effective governance model been adopted - is the measure of the weight of the water that the Black community carries for an ideology that has limited success in creating ORGANIC COMPETENCIES WITHIN THE MASSES.

This past weekend's massive rallies in support of Troy Davis while there is massive silence over the thousands of Black men murdered each year throughout the nation shows a similar misalignment.  The common link is that IF there is no ideological or political indictment to be made (OR if the protest would be seen as an unwanted indictment of a favorable figure) the Black community is prone to be silent - as the leaders of the Black Racial Services Machine pretend that those who are watching them can't see their gross inconsistencies.
