The Late Denise Gay Was Killed In A "Street Pirate Involved Shooting"

See these two pictures?  What do they have in common?

This Picture Was Taken In NYC After The
Murders That Took Place During The
"2011 Caribbean Day Parade"
(IIRC) This Picture Was Taken In Chicago During The Year In Which Darion Albert Was Killed By A Blow To The Head And In The Context Of A Shooting Spree Within The Black Community

There are various accounts about the funeral of Denise Gay - the woman that was killed when a stray bullet from a police weapon killed her during a gun battle - regarding admonitions to the community to stop the gun violence as well as indictments of the police for firing up to 70 bullets on a street that had a substantial number of civilians that were not engaged in any criminal activities.

Indeed there is a greater set of expectations upon the police to use their judgment in determining the risk that the Street Pirate poses compared to the risk to the public if they choose to shoot at him or give chase in a high speed pursuit.   There is a point, however, in which the actions of the Street Pirate who is firing indiscriminately toward the police which should prompt them to neutralize this threat with force.

We all can articulate the responsibility that our society has placed in the police.
My challenge is the question - What responsibilities and obligations does the Street Pirate have?

The Street Pirate is a would be "pillar of the community" that has gone astray.  After suffering from a lifetime of benign neglect his present consciousness was formed.  He primarily suffers from a pile of social pathologies that have been inculcated into his character.

Since the community vested the police man with law enforcement authority and this same community produced the Street Pirate - what should we conclude about the community and its complicity in the present state of the agent which produces such a large portion of its grief in relation to the community's public safety?

Professional Progressive Political Preacher Al Sharpton told the funeral attendees that they must "stop the shooting" in their community.  Sharpton and other executives in the Black Racial Services Machine are effectively neutralized as they are confounded by the fact that this agent of terror for the community that they are running a protection racket on behalf of - CAME FROM this same community.  Gone is the over the top rhetoric of indictment.  In its place are pronouncements.

These pronouncements should not be mistaken for EFFECTIVE GOVERNANCE.
They are likely going to be expressed as calls for gun control, improved police training and jobs programs to provide Black males with something more productive to do.

  • With hand guns already illegal in the city of New York (and certain high profile stories in which celebrities have been ensnared in NYC's unconstitutional gun laws) they are forced to make indictments against other states from which the Street Pirates purchased their guns
  • Since police are human beings who have the instinct for self-perpetuation all of the training in the world will never prevent them from operating as such when the real world replaces the simulator and the written "rules of engagement" does not factor for the unscripted behavior of a criminal suspect
  • The call for the jobs program as organized by the government is a tacit admission of the failure of the previous engagements that the governing forces of the community had transacted. It affords them the ability to make a preemptive INDICTMENT against the system without ever being called out for having echoed the very same call just as they were selling Black people on the benefits of our investments into their political machine - one of which was jobs that would reduce the violence within
A fair judge would be compelled to listen to these calls, in the face of the latest tragedy, but stand away from the various narratives and make note of what REALLY is at play.

With more "favorable people in power", as they received their power based on the promises of future increase - those who have the best interests of the community would note that TODAY is that FUTURE that they were once sold.

This judge would inspect to dispel the notion that the prevailing grievances within the community are being USED to wage an expansionary political scheme that produces little organic benefit for the people that bought into it.

In the world of economics the "opportunity cost" of allowing failed systems of governance to perpetuate is the terror that they suffer at the hands of individuals who operate outside of the governing framework as they live an "I Don't Give A What" life.  Today this governance system is unabashedly fraudulent - no longer pretending to be anything else.

Listen to what they talk about the most as a means of understanding their true calling.
We have a political and ideological movement that fronts as a community governance movement.

When such a scheme is allowed to link the actions of EXTERNAL forces to the success of the INTERNAL human resources - one only needs to sit back and watch the fraud that is conducted and the impending train wreck that ensues.

All of this points to the ironic point that while they have confidence that the EXTERNAL systems of governance will eventually come through for them - the INTERNAL structures of governance that goes abandoned as they fight the outward fight is the force that allows much of the shortfall to remain.
