One In Four Philadelphians Living In Poverty

With all due respect - my first hand experience in understanding my birth city of Philadelphia is that the neighborhoods have a "we are just hanging on, trying to survive" consciousness about them.Unfortunately there is no "organic revolution" going on among the people that are going to change their fortunes anytime in the future.

I am forced to give credit to:
  • Black American Muslim converts
  • Dominicans
  • Koreans
  • Chinese
All of these groups have a noticeable foothold in the Black community as merchants.  They are creating jobs for their own interest groups while meeting the consumer demands within the community.
