With Obama's "Diverse" Judicial Appointments Will "The New Jim Crow" Be Retired? Will Our Community Be Made Safer In The Process?

MSNBC: Obama is the first president who hasn't selected a majority of white males for lifetime judgeships

As a Black man I am supposed to read this news about the increase of "non-White, non-male" judicial appointees and note the progress of our society from the dark days in which the White male had his way with all others.   The Black male indeed received the short end of this stick that we were beaten with.

As a resident of a metro-area that already has achieved this level of diversity in its judiciary and "Law Enforcement Ecosystem", however,  I am compelled to note that the changing situation that, in theory, shows evidence of progress as evidenced by the Black voter's 50%+1 support for the operators sitting in the seat of power - this evidence does not compel those who have the theory that the SYSTEM is driven to destroy Black people to yield their claims.  Logically they are concluding that the people who they have placed into power are seeking to destroy our people by imprisoning Black males, affording the collapse of our community.    The reference to the amorphous enemy that compels our unity and silence remains too much of a valuable indictment when they can't explain why the results remain the same despite the successful execution of their strategy.

When the Black Community is seen placing its development hopes and investments in the assumption that certain attributes such as favorable race and gender held by an authority figure (of a certain ideology) is going to translate into certain prescribed benefit that provokes our continued investment, without defining sufficient PROTECTIONS of our interests in the chance that this scheme might not work - the present results that we see today is the inevitable end.

  • While it is TRUE that an unchecked system ran by White males rendered a brutal system that assaulted the rights of Black people...............................
  • Those who are advocates CANNOT show evidence that a system that is controlled by "Favorable People" has produced the affirmative benefits that the Black Community was sold along the way.
Indeed it is logical to fight against a known poison that kills your people.   What does one do with in the situation in which the same group of people are made to actively purchase a concoction that is leading to the same result?  WHO is the "FDA" that makes the transparent assessment in both cases?

The Real World "Benefit" Of A Favorable Line Up

As it stands today this scheme of stacking the deck does more to PURCHASE THE SILENCE of the Black Community as it seeks to avoid  toppling the "favorable infrastructure" that it played a strong hand in assembling.   Reminders of how we fared when "THE ENEMY" sat in the seat of power remains as the most effective means of cancelling the "No Confidence Vote" that appears otherwise justified.

In doing so the Black rank & file is made to carry the weight of the water for this overlay group of operatives.   The continued victimization that we as a community suffer from despite these favorable conditions on paper points to the strain upon our backs that this water burdens us with.

In its most perverse form - this STRUGGLE for favorable voices and policies BECOMES THE END.  Lost is the notion of "Transparent Justice", "Safe Communities" and a "Purpose Driven Black Male".

Ironically, however, in as much as the "Black Racial Services Machine" that is driving this goal of diversity is also the JUDGE - they are disinclined to question if the present occupant of the seat of power is conspiring against the interests of the Black community per the common outcomes that our noted enemies had produced when he was the occupant.   This would force them to produce a self-indictment as the judicial candidates were a part of their slate in the elections.

Indeed we have advanced!!!  Any Black person arrested in Atlanta, Detroit or Philly is escorted through the criminal justice system in which every node of the process is lead by a favorable person of color.
