The worst thing about Glen Ford is that his only goal in attacking Obama is that he wants Obama to be more of a leftist.
As I do my appraisal of Black Political Thought - I am forced to bathe in the entirety of the message so that I can understand what they are trying to say, not allowing my own right-of-center perspective to disallow me to capture the proper framework of understanding of their message.
The reason why I go out of my way to read and watch "UNATTACHED Progressive-Fundamentalists" is because THIS IS THE BEST SOURCE OF CRITICISM OF THE BLACK ESTABLISHMENT.
You are NOT going to hear "The Black Establishment" make a critique upon themselves in such illustrative terms.
I AM ACTUALLY FORCED TO GIVE MR FORD A STANDING OVATION FOR HIS ANALYSIS AFTER THE 25 MINUTE MARK.
I am able to agree that ANALYSIS is correct without having to agree with that particular person's desired alternatives.
Mr Ford is all too correct when he makes note that the present Black Establishment is looking toward Obama to LIE to Black people into voting for him again in 2012 - by giving them some bone that they can cleave to. (I suggest that Mr Ford listen to www.waok.com in order to hear a bunch of Negroes who are very articulate in pronouncing all that Obama has done for Obama and how we should be THANKFUL for it!!)
I have to also credit Mr Ford for being spot on regarding how the "JingOists" have been lulled to sleep. NOT wanting to hit Obama on his deeds that directly violate their own viewpoint - Obama, in turn has INDEED been able to do many things that a President John McCain would never have been able to do so - without massive protests. BOMB an African nation and then hit 8 of their warships that were DOCKED IN PORT because the McCain Administration and NATO said that they were on a humanitarian mission to save the Libyans? PLEASE!!!
I do not have a vantage point within the "Left-Wing Anti-War Movement" but I was impressed at Mr Ford's accounting that the JingOists inside of the Anti-War Movement exposed themselves as not really caring one way or the other about WAR. They didn't want to embarrass Obama - so they stopped protesting WAR. It comes as no surprise that the Anti-War movement under Bush has so impassioned because it allowed people to express their ideological hatred for the Commander In Chief at the time.
In today's world a protest against Obama will have you labeled as a RACIST or thrown off of the bus as with West and Smiley.
I think that above all Ford is on point with his attempted outlook about the future - AFTER OBAMA.
Now that Black people have been shown to have compromised themselves so much in the protection of a favorable president - how might our people STAND with credibility when the next guy comes along and does the very same thing but now Blacks are seen protesting. WE ARE the "Moral Compass Of America" you know.
It appears that Obama's magnetic forcefield has caused a disruption in the true north of many a Negro's pocket compass.
