Are you a servant?

Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him. Matthew 4:21-22
Notice in the above verse that these brothers left their father in the middle of working for the survival of the family. Immediately they went to do the work of God.
When God called you, what did you say? What kept you so busy that your blessing, the work of God had to delay? Stop blaming God for not receiving what you asked for. Fight for it but when you do so show Him that you are ready to be blessed- to be used by Him and grow His Kingdom.
Note: Start showing God that you are ready. Respond to Him. Tell Him: Here I am Lord, I am ready. Let me serve you. Make yourself available for the work of God.
Now let’s look at why many are failing in the work of God:
Just to say this: It is not a nice thing to talk about or I should say to see happening in the work of God. It breaks my heart. How nice would it be to begin your ministry and remain till the end? To die in the work of God. How wonderful.
There could be many reasons for people leaving the work of God namely: They did not take care of their relationship their communion with God till the time they felt week and left the precious work; they left with so much excitement and did not really seek to understand from God’s knowledge what it is to do the wok of God; they were not born of God, but maybe just born of good works… I don’t know; they felt like the work was too much for them and could not handle the work of God – they call it pressure-going through hell-difficulty they call it many names – they have forgotten the pleasure of serving God. Mainly they forgot why they were there, now it has become about them how they feel (difficult, burdened, etc) it becomes no longer about the souls.
You are led into the work of God by the burning desire to save souls, once you lose the vision of souls and start feeding your own emotions, feelings, needs and wanting; then you lose the fire for souls. You look more to your self and how uncomfortable it has become for you in the work of God and you end up making a wrong decision of leaving the work of God.
Your emotions at the time lead you to thinking it’s the best decision to make. And believe me many have regretted listening to the voice of the devil in their mind and getting their hearts contaminated. Do not lose your crown just because of a few moments, minutes, hours, days, weeks or even years of the desert, persecutions that are refining you to be a stronger and more useful servant.
Remember the Lord Jesus said no one is greater than his master.
In His ministry the Lord Jesus went to many places where He began to preach, to teach, to heal the sick, to raise the dead and declared them sleeping, to cast out demons, to make disciples, to baptise.
That time they had no cars to take them to where they wanted to go, they had no navigation system to direct them, but listen… they travelled by feet to places that God had told them to go and mhm… they had no map – no cars – nothing just the voice of God which told them: go to this place and they went and when they would arrive in a place they would teach, cast demons.
They went not to feed themselves, their own comfort but to be servants.
Are you a servant? What is a servant??? This is a big question that needs you and me to consider. Where do you come from and how did you get to where you are? Was it not by saying: God use me, I want to serve you, was it not by calling yourself a servant? And now - Find the servant within and don’t loose the spirit of such a privilege of serving the King our Father!
