Philly.com: 3 Killed In Newark Shootings
- Saturday - 3 People Murdered In Newark
- Sunday - 1 Person Murdered As 3 Are Shot
In watching the second season of the documentary series "Brick City" in Newark the all out war in the public domain was shown for all to see. In the light of chaos among Street Pirate criminals - the "community organizers" chose to fire their weapons at the police as the reason for their grief.
In "Brick City" - Police director Garry McCarthy was seemingly always placed on the hot seat by the "Progressive Democratic Clique B" who were seeking to topple the "Progressive Democratic Team A" lead by Mayor Cory Booker.
It is hard to imagine that Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel was not influenced impart by the documentary to choose McCarthy as his choice to lead the police department.
In one episode Booker and McCarthy are seen cheering over the news that Newark had its first murder-free month in many decades. This did not quell the criticism against him as police commander. During a protest march the activist lady who refers to Governor Christie as "Crispy Creme" is also heard saying "The Klan Has Taken Over The Newark Police Department" - referring to McCarthy and his #2 man - who is now Police Director with the departure of McCarthy.
The great void in the debate that was not focused upon is the message that is necessary to be targeted toward the young people on the streets who are doing the killing. We see the administration blamed. We hear the words of the innocent citizens who are made to suffer as they live in close proximity to the chaos. We also see these waring local factions unite in their common opposition to the governor and in support of Obama. With the community as the "hand that rocked the cradle" of those who are now killing each other in shameful abundance - it is clear that the one guilty party that they do not plan to blame is themselves.
This is the reason why their votes are so open and available for exploitation by those who sell them on a solution that never seems to come. They need to adopt a strategy that makes use of improved resource management acumen in order to achieve improved results.

NEWARK — A man died this afternoon after becoming the fourth person to be shot in the city today, authorities said.
The death of the unidentified victim, shot several times in his torso, is the fifth homicide in four days for New Jersey’s largest city. Newark is swiftly becoming beleaguered by gun violence that hasn’t let up for several days. Among those killed was a city a police officer, shot Thursday night while ordering a slice of pizza.
The man killed this afternoon was shot on the 100-block of Nortfolk Street in Newark’s North Ward, said Detective Josephine Santaniello, a spokeswoman for the city police department. The man was taken to University Hospital but died shortly after arrival, she said. Police were withholding his name pending family notification.
The homicide follows two separate shootings earlier today that wounded three people.
Two unidentified men were around noon in Central Ward outside a Quick Pick Food Mart, Santaniello said earlier today. One man was shot in the abdomen and the other was shot in the leg.
Soon after, another unidentified man was shot multiple times outside of an apartment complex on the corner of Avon and Jeliff Avenue at 2:40 p.m. and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to Santaniello.
All three men, who police did not identify or give any information about their ages or residences, were taken to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.
Neighbors said the man shot near the apartment complex was a 24-year-old victim of crossfire, hit when someone in a group of five men fired an automatic gun at someone else, but struck the bystander instead. Several of the men jumped into a red Jeep and drove off, while others fled on foot, the witnesses said.
Newark has seen a recent spasm of violence. Three people were shot dead Saturday, dotting the North, Central and South wards. Thursday night, William Johnson, an off-duty Newark police officer, was killed in a drive-by shooting. One teenager has been arrested in Johnson's slaying. But all four of those incidents are still under investigation, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's office.
Longtime Newark resident Lamar Watson said violence has begun increasing, as he expected, with summer drawing near.
“That's when it really starts 24 hours a day,” said Watson, 79, who lives down the street from the South Ward shooting Thursday that killed a Union County man and injured three others. “Here comes the war zone every night. It makes you sick.”
